Is it a sin to consider other religions? Or is that rejecting Jesus?

Christians and believers of our Lord, is it a sin to consider other possibilities of God? And/or examine whether the God I am following is real or not from outside sources?

Simply put the scriptures tell us to test them.

“Keep testing whether you are in the faith,” Paul wrote, “keep proving what you yourselves are.” (2*Corinthians 13:5) Applying this counsel would have protected those brothers in Corinth from being uncertain about the way in which to walk

I'm a Muslim, and what you choose is up to you. In Islam, have other beings associated with God is forbidden and is a major sin, where you aren't even considered Muslim then. You can examine whether God you're following is real or not from outside sources. There shouldn't be anything stopping you, and God loves those who seek Him.
