What is the truth about religion ?

I have studied every relgion out there and they are all the same. They might say things a different way but the ideas are all the same just different details. Why does every religion take something that teaches to love and be good and use it to outkast and isolate and hate and kill ?
Why should i believe in any religion at all ? Isnt religion just a way to control the masses. If there was no greater fear of being eternaly punished it would be total anarchy. Was religion started by man to control man ?
All they do is make people feel bad about themselves for never living up to what they believe is "worthy" of gaining entrence to the big club in the sky. Just think you want to control a goup of people control comes from fear people fear what they dont know. nobody ever knows or will know what happens when we die. But if you tell people they will be punished for eternity they will do whatever you want them to. because they can never know if its true or not.
What goverment ever did not have a religion behind it ?

Your telling me the catholic church had no political sway ? or the mulim church? your telling me that the problems with Isreal and palestine are political caused by politicians ?? ?? I dont think so what about tibet and china ? what about Naziism ? No religios overtones there right ?
