Is Islam "just a religion"?

A lot of people are saying it's none of our business whether Obama is or was muslim. But is Islam "just a religion"? It's not like being catholic or baptist or pentecostal. Islam is much more than a religion - it's also a political system. Islamic countries are governed by Islamic law. Church and state are INSEPARABLE. Islamic law cannot coexist with any other religion or political system. So, isn't it a valid question to ask, whether Obama is a muslim, or has Islamic ideas?

There are countries that follow Islamic law and yes, there are some extremists, but that is NO reason to make the claim that all Muslims are extremists that can't work in our political system. That's just an ignorant thing to say. Second of all, Obama is NOT a Muslim. Maybe you should take the blinders off and see that the Islamic faith is not as evil as you think it is just because a few extremists have gone way overboard. Might I remind you that the Christian religion has done quite a few things that are equally barbaric and Christians can have the same extremists beliefs that make THEM not fit in with our political system.

It is not a political system.

Some middle eastern countries just don't have the separation of church and state that we are SUPPOSED to have.
Although some do....Iraq being a good example.

But it's a moot point. Obama was never a Muslim.
