If you reasoned out your belief for a religion?

does that count for faith? I mean if you found a bunch of historical reasons believe the bible or Jesus, is it really faith?

There are people in other countries that can't give you one historical reason for believing in Jesus, but when persecution time comes, they endure based on sincere belief in the savior. Would you honestly call that ignorance?blind faith?

In my opinion it inspires me to see such childlike faith...I welcome any answer from any faith, not just christianity

The word faith is misunderstood. It refers not to belief in the existence of God which we should never doubt, but to our trust in Him to keep His promises.

Faith is trust. there is no virtue in trusting in something you don't know. You don't get extra credit for believing in something without evidence. You must have faith in the Savior YAHOSHUA in order to receive gifts from Him.

I think the faith comes in where people believe God will rescue their souls and take them to Heaven. If we find evidence for Jesus' existence then that will reaffirm the people's faith.

You have bought into the Christian anti-logic. Many will tell you faith that can be proven or reasoned cannot be true. Why do they promote that? Because Christianity cannot be proven or reasoned to be true. To believe as a Christian it must be done of blind faith and obedience to doctrine.

I reasoned out my belief for a religion a long time ago. It goes:

1. Is there a god? No-stop Yes-keep going
2. Is that god the God of the Jews? No-stop Yes-keep going
3. How did I hear of the God of the Jews? Judaism - stop Christianity - Keep going
4. What branch of Christianity is correct? The one I'm in - stop Something else - keep going

And on and on and on. A piece of advice: Don't spend years praying for wisdom. One day you'll regret it. It's like the most addictive drug you'll ever try.
