Serious question as a Jehovah Witness we do not celebrate holidays how do you...

...in your religion do so when you? Know they are pagan? I am looking for serious answers in order to get insight, with all due respect... Just want to understand...

Have you ever researched Halloween and some of the other holidays?

I think many have stopped celebrating Halloween, has yours?
Your birth day is not pagan but those who celebrated it in the Bible were against God and asked for gross gifts, very bad ones at that.... One was the head of John the Baptist on a platter... That makes me feel really bad...

We celebrate birthdays, Easter, Christmas, Thanksgiving...
Not Halloween as a "holiday". Yes, I do know the pagan origin of halloween. I personally don't think it's offensive to let children go out in costumes and have fun. They're children!! They have no idea of the pagan concepts and I don't think it's teaching them so to let them do it.
I always wondered why is it that Jehovah's Witness' don't celebrate holidays of any kind? It seems to me (and this is just my opinion) that God would love for us to celebrated what he has done for us (Christmas, Easter) and given to us (Thanksgiving, birthdays - life!,...) I'm also curious about basic Jehovah's Witness beliefs. Maybe I'll have to post that question myself...

I don't celebrate Halloween, I celebrate Christmas all year round because I love the Lord and I am glad He was born to us. I celebrate birthdays because I am happy that my family members were born. it's really quite simple.
I don't believe it is pagan to show we are glad that our Lord was born.
it's not like we are asking for anyones head on a platter for OUR birthday.come on!

I didn't "celebrate" Halloween. I dressed up, went door to door, and got free candy. Condemn me to the depths of unholy hell for wanting to dress up and get free candy, but I did.

Is my birthday pagan??
We don't celebrate Halloween either, but sometimes to keep the kids from going in the wrong direction we will have an old fashioned harvest party..
