New Religion?

I was born into the Catholic religion. I have never been comfortable with the role and treatment of women in the Bible. I have been to other churches like, Jehova's witness, United Church of Christ, Pentecostal, and so on, but the theme is always the same. Women are not equal and God punishes his children. As a mother, there is nothing in this world my daughter could do to me or someone else that would make me want to send her to eternal damnation or suffering. I believe everyone should pay for thier mistakes or bad decisions against another living being, but if he is "The Father" of mankind how could he make his own children pay for an eternity. I am searching for a religion that does not follow the scripture and would like some ideas as to where to begin. I still believe in an after life, spirits, and even reincarnation. But the Bible does not make any sense to me. It is full of contridictions. Please, I would like new ideas I have already heard everyones interpretation of the Bible.
