...grasping to religion? Since most wars are fought and every day thousands of people die in the name of religion how can we move forward as a species? Why do we as humans cling to imaginary fairy tales when reality clearly points in the opposite direction that religion would take us?
Answer man: Your question exemplifies the problem with religion. You claim that if all people followed the bible the world would be better and it is people who beleive such a thing that create more problems. Let other people beleive what they want. As long as they are not hurting anyone they are fine.
whalers: True, it is man's nature or territorial instincts that cause war along with power and greed. Wars would be fought anyways throughout history. I think that religion is a creation of man, however subconcious it might be as an excuse to do things or as a scape goat to assign certain emotions and feelings of guilt.
