When did religion start to die in Britain?

Just that I got to thinking my generation dont bother with it, and previous generations seem to get less and less involved in it.

How many decades do you think it was that it started to weaken?

I think maybe from Victorian times or the 1950s (they are known as the last Victorian times).
I dont think it happened over night, just gradual so it wasnt noticed at first.

I wonder someday if the same will happen in America cause they seem to still be at the stage we were some decades ago in terms of religion.
