FBI26 has a spectacular aura about
Family VS Religion?

My family is Mormon, I was raised Mormon up until I turned 18 then I went out on my own and went astray. In the last two years I have turned myself around and found that I no longer beleived what the Mormon church believes, I have nothing against them they are children of God as well. But i just don't want to be a member there anymore nor do i want my son to go to that church. We found out own Christian based church to go to.

Well since I have made this change my family seems to be excluding me more and more. They fail to invite me and my son on family outings, they even went as far as to exclude me from my participating in my mother's funeral services. At this time I have no family left. Just because I changed religions.

My question is...if you had to choose between having your family with you or your religion which would you choose. And how easily would it be to live with that decision?
Wow lot's of WONDERFUL opinions out there. Remember one thing though, I didn't make this choice it was choosen for me.I had no idea that when I left the Mormon church that my own family would do this to me.

And to GIL, you are a wise person. Your answer made me cry. Thank you for your amazing insight.
