Have you ever changed religion or left religion?

I used to be known as Proud Muslimah Beautiful Islam on these boards. Or PMBI. After thinking long and hard, using my brain, and just observing, I've come to the conclusion that God does not exist. In religions, God claims to be loving and merciful, but if we use the freewill we are given, we are burnt in hell. How is that loving, burning your creation for not worshipping you? And if God existed, why hasn't that loving side come out and stopped the suffering of children? Why have women been allowed to be oppressed and seen as animals instead of as a partner side by side? That's not a just and loving thing. There are too many unanswered question. I think I've been an atheist all along, but I just denied it and denied it. I have left Islam and am now an atheist. If you've left religion, which was it? Why?
