Are there any Christians here that are doubting whether or not their

religion is true? If so, why do you have doubts and how long has this been going on?

What are some of the issues you have problems with?

When I doubt Gods love for me, I get in trouble. Or if I disobey God, I get in trouble. I feel very discomforted in my spirit.

So? I confess my sin to the Lord & He Is faithful & just to forgive me my sin & cleanse me from all unrighteousness.

Then I feel much better. Sometimes it takes a while, depending on what the issue was.

And I am not really religious, except that I trust & obey God to be best of my understanding in Christ Jesus. I follow after the Spirit more than go by written rules. But I do follow laws, because the Spirit guides me to do that also. Mostly if we love God & love others, then we naturally follow laws.

The problem is that if the fruits of the Spirit; faith, hope, love, joy, patience, honesty, truth, etc... is against the law, then I put Gods Truth above land laws.

this is the religion Jesus put forward as true and perfect before God....................

to visit with widows and orphans during the time of their affliction and to keep oneself undefiled by the world. Once I decided to try it out..and gave myself a really good chance to do it well.. i found it is very right and I have no problems with it.

Don't know, I'm not "religious" but I do have a relationship with Jesus Christ and I speak with him every day through prayer. I would say the doubting Thomas' and lukewarm, so-called "Christians" are the ones with the doubts about their faith. They are the ones waiting on God to make a move in their life, but God is waiting on them to make a move in his direction and step out in faith forsaking what the world has to offer them. It's kind of a "catch 22" with the lukewarm "fence sitters" and non-believers.
Deal is, they gotta get out of the boat in the middle of their storm and reach out to him to know that God is true and everything else is sinking sand.

As long as we say we need faith, then we will not be completely sure. "But" all we are asked to have is faith! I would guess the day after I die will be the day I am absolutely sure. I don't have any issues with believing there is a God. I do have issues with the validity of certain scripture and if some have been corrupted by zealots trying to explain it better instead of just writing it the way it was. Plus certain scripture has been given the human stamp of metaphorical when I just don't believe it was. Like "thou shalt not have any other gods before Me". Many are claiming this to mean Money, sex, leisure living, anything but actual gods. Since it was in the 10 commandments, I am leaning toward there being other "lesser" gods out there. Whether it be the Native American gods, the Greek gods, even the evil gods of which the Bible speaks of. I mean, (as one of my questions asked today) which god made the Egyptian staffs change to snakes? I hear it was Satan, but, I think that the bible explains it better if there are demi-gods out there.
