CAustin has a spectacular aura about
For those who think morals are inherently grounded in religion...?

How do you explain moral behavior among other social animals?

Wolves won't attack members of their own pack, even when starving. Did they need a wolf Moses with stone tablets to tell them not to kill?

Bees are perhaps more 'moral' than humans, never attacking members of their own hive, instinctually performing complicated medical tasks for their young, and unthinkingly forfeiting their lives in defense of their sisters when attacked. Was a bee Jesus necessary to teach them this sacrifice? Did they need a bee Bible to learn how to be clean and safe from disease?

Personally, I think we have innate resistances to killing, stealing, and in general trying to screw one another over because we're social animals which survive better with cooperative instincts, which is why we see it in other social species, too. What's your explanation?
