A question about palm reading and/or spirituality and/or physic abilities?

A few months ago a good friend of mine introduced me to this older man, I believe he was around 50 or so and told me to let him read my palm. Thinking it was just something stupid I let him and to say the least he told me some very in depth personal things that have happened in my life, that really no one knows about me. He also told me that from the time he started reading my palm the six pointed star (sorry I can't remember what he called it) that was on his right hand was burning at the points. He even had me touch it and it was warmer than the other parts of his hand. He said his teacher had told him if that happens that person has like physic abilities or something. I have a lot of deja vu (more then most) and it sounds weird but sometimes I get feelings of things that are about to happen. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about this and if so, if this is what is to be believed how would I go about tapping into these "physic abilities"?
