What is the difference between religion and philosophy?

Makes something a religion? What makes something a philosophy? Can something be both?

Yes, it's more than possible for something to be both a religion & a philosophy.

Need any examples: Buddhism & Confucianism.

Philosophy (logic-based philosophy anyway, which is most) is entirely about making arguments and forming ideas based on logic and evidence. Religion uses neither of these things, unless you count the Bible as evidence (I don't). They supplement with faith.
