Republican politics. Why?

Why do republicans stand for this administration increasing the size of government when they say they are for smaller government?
Why do republicans stand for this administration passing such bills as the Patriot Act when it is against everything for which this country stands?
Why do republicans complain about taxes when this administration has spent like no other in our history?
Why should we elect another republican next Presidential election?

Guess you didn't realize that Bill Clinton drained the Social Security fund while he was in office, to pay off the national deficit. If you want to complain about the government, get involved in it.

The moral majority I think was the bane of the conservative movement in America. It was a great idea in the mid 1990s to build a center/right coalition under the banner the moral majority. The problem is, however, a lot of social conservatives are not fiscal conservatives.

We have not increased the size of this government
The patriot act was necessary and I do support it. IT stands for this country and saving it.
Taxes do not have to be raised just because spending is up.
Because it is the best choice for this country and its security.

Because neo-conservatives are very different from those who used to be considered Republicans. The people in control of the Republican Party now do not adhere to true Republican politics and beliefs.

We should NOT elect another Republican as president in 2008! I'd love to see an independent or third-party candidate get elected....

The same reason Democrats tolerate their politicians who voted for the war and continue to fund the war:

Blind party loyalty.

At this point, about 70% of the country is in agreement with you. For reasons that are not entirely clear to me, the last 30% is so completely blinded by loyalty, or ideology, or hatred, or bigotry, or greed, or fear, or God knows what else that it cannot think rationally. Worse, there is a very tiny fraction of this 30% that understands everything you have layed out in your question, but just doesn't care. This very tiny fraction has but a single goal, to protect its own wealth from government taxation. It is this tiny sliver of evil that is actively enslaving the rest of the 30%...

Questions I have asked time and time again.
They cannot seem to give me a straight answer either.
Bush is called a neo-con mostly for supporting a large government and fiscal immaturity...but they just continue to show him support. It sickens me because they are traitors to their own party.
All republican candidates are Bush-drones perhaps with the exception of Ron Paul. That's why we need a democrat to clean house starting in 2009.
