Yes, it is fair to say. The conservative right is built on spewing hate and racist rhetoric. If you are not a rich, white male, you have no place in the republican party and its not just race, class is big too. They exploit religion to get working class people who should never vote for republicans based on their economic situation, but do so because of religion, so , I think they are both racist and classist (if thats a word). To Steve R's point about Rice, Powell, And Thomas....Rice and Powell both sold out and do not have their race at heart or would not work for Bush, and we all know Clarence Thomas is one of the most Conservative people in the country and he has set blacks back 30 yrs with all the votes he has cast on behalf of the neo conservatives.
