I would like information about politics.. democrats v. republicans and more?

This is my first time being able to vote and I don't know much about politics. I believe I am more democratic but would like to know the main difference between the two.
Who is supporting tax cuts, gay marriage, abortions, higher pay of teachers, lower gas prices and other important issues. Thank you for the help- I'd really like to make a difference!

Republicans are for lower taxes and giving more power to the people. Democrats want to raise taxes and take your money and give everyone healthcare and money to people who don't work. Democrats want to take your money and give it away!! Vote Republican!! Watch Fox News, the only true news source.

some of your questions will be answered at ontheissues.org and at the candidates individual sites

since not all issues belong to all members of one party it's best look at the candidates and not the party. This country has gotten into a lot of trouble by choosing too much by party lines..
