Republicans/ Conservatives How Do You Feel About These Biblical Quotes

in Relation to Politics? 22 Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

25For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. Luke 18:20-25

Blessed are the apeacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
Matthew 5:9

40"The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.' Matthew 25:40

Your Thoughts?
Sorry, the message of these quotes is quite clear and they aren't taken out of context at all. I'll post the entire passages if you'd like.
On second thought, look them up yourselves!

Oh yeah, what about this one:

11Since there will never cease to be some in need on the earth, I therefore command you, "Open your hand to the poor and needy neighbor in your land."
Deuteronomy 15:11

or this one:
27 for all these things were done by the people who lived in the land before you, and the land became defiled. 28 And if you defile the land, it will vomit you out as it vomited out the nations that were before you. Leviticus 18:28-29

Or
33 " 'When an alien lives with you in your land, do not mistreat him. 34 The alien living with you must be treated as one of your native-born. Love him as yourself, for you were aliens in Egypt. I am the LORD your God. Leviticus 19:33-34
Actually, many liberals, myself included, DO believe in God. For you to believe otherwise is absurd. How much one gives is proportionate to how much one can AFFORD to give. Republicans give for the tax write off at the end of the year. Democrats give because of their want to help the less fortunate. Barack Obama has released MORE information than both McCain and Clinton.

Actually, I don't think any of those passages have anything to do with politics. They mostly deal with what is more important to a person, riches or God.

The first was addressed to an individual who claimed to obey all the commandments and yet Jesus knew he loved money more than God. For him, that was a fitting command to show him where his weakness was.

The second can be taken at face value. When we get wrapped up in our treasures on Earth, we lose sight of our treasure in Heaven. That applies to all men regardless of political affiliation -- rich bankers or movie stars.

Nothing wrong with peace. I'm all for it. Sometimes, though, the only true path to peace is through a show of strength. There will always be evil men that want to disrupt the peace and they must be stopped for the good of society.

The fourth statement deals with the individual. We should all be charitable. Politically, since you asked, Republican individuals give more to charity than Democrats. Jesus never advocated the forced re-distribution of wealth. "God loves a cheerful giver".

Later note in response to your additional comments: Now you're just being argumentative but, okay. . . 2 of those, again, deal with the individual's responsibility to be charitable. The one addressed to the nation (Lev.) deals with worship of false gods and other detestable religious and sexual practices. Don't do that.

should you not pose these questions to democrats, like obama who gave less than 3% of his income in 7yrs,or to hillary who refuses to release her finicial statements,it has been prove that republicans give more to charity than democrats who supposably champion the poor, thats is with somebodys else`s money not their own, beside what are you doing quoting bible passeges, liberals do not believe in GOD,your arqument is silly.

I think that there are far wiser and more pertinent passages in the Constitution of the United States.
It's not as easy to cherry pick the Constitution as it is the Bible.
Everyone likes to take passages of that darned book out of context and make them mean what he wants them to mean.
Just as you are doing.
