How do I make enough money to fulfill this dream?

I'm 15 and my dream is to one day buy an island (a smaller one) and put a beach resort there, and to make the people that vacation/honeymoon/ect. there to feel like royalty. To share my dream with you, I want you to imagine a nice beach, with wicker houses a little bit out in the water so the only way to get to them is by wading through the water or by boat, sitting on piers. You open up your door and immediatly notice that the floors are glass so you can see the waves gently rolling beneath you as you get your back massaged by an experianced mesues(I think i spelled it wrong LOL). You begin to tire of your room and you decide to step out onto your porch and jump into the sea, wading up to the shore and feeling the creamy white sand beneath your feet.I have 2 questions though. How much would an island/resort cost? And is the stock market (in your oppinion) the way to attain the weath required to buy a small island and develop it into a successfull resort?Thanks-Ace

ummm well you need more than just the stock market...you need 100's of millions of dollars if not billion....you need to remember if your island is deserted there is nothing there for you to build with....you gotta transport everything there....your best bet is to get really rich people to finance your dream. ....they will own it but you could run it

1 I DONT KNOW HOW YOU'RE GOING TO FIND AN ISLAND i think they've all been discovered and owned..cost more than a billion and thats just the island not the hotel materials/builders/mechanics/managers/directors/all people and construction prices are rising.

I think that one of your steps along the way would be to do similar, but smaller scale hotels. If you can make it a success, the money you make from selling it could give you a chance to build your dream resort. And the experience would ensure that you don't screw up your dream project when you amass the funds to build it. Having the experience would make it easier to get loans to fund the dream project. So I'd say learn as much as you can about business in general and the hotel business and work from there.I think when it comes time to build, you won't want something too fancy on an island--you'll either find a more accessible paradise location for an upscale resort, or you'll build on the island for people looking for a romantic, 'shipwrecked on a tropical island' experience.

Your dream is difficult, but not impossible. Many people in the hospitality industry have to compete with their competitors. In order for you obtain the needed cash, you will probably need to get investors. Making connections with the right people and pitching your idea. Unlike an invention which can be patented and sold, the resort idea requires a lot of money just to be able to create it. Also, you will have to come to the realization that you will probably not own the entire property at 100%. The stock market can be a great place to earn money, but you can just as easily lose it if the stock crashes. Buying an island is more difficult than buying land, since it falls under international guidelines and it could belong to a government that does not take too kindly to private investors. My honest suggestion to you would be to focus on how to get in the game. The game being international real estate, get the knowledge, make the connections in the hospitality industry and hopefully your dream can become a reality.

Hi Ace, love your dream. You are on the right track, employment will not provide the money, you do need to do some type of home business (includes investing, which can be done at home.) The sooner you get started and learn how businesses really work, the better. Get a free guide from http://www.homebusinesshunt.com. It will help you target businesses that fit you and your needs, so you can begin building, not just dreaming Best to you!!
