Many, but not all of the individuals who attended the Constitutional convention, and wrote the constitution, were Freemasons. Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, and many of the founding fathers were Freemasons.

James Madison, the father of the constitution, was definetly NOT a freemason, neither was Thomas Jefferson.
