| How was Rodin's Kiss made. Marble sculpture or marble casting? I ask because aren't there several copies of it? So, if it's carved - back then there weren't machines to make duplicates, like now. And if it was carved, one of a kind, like David, then you sure can't make copies. I have heard the term marble casting. Was it that, with powders? I looked in some books and on net and all it says is 'media marble.' Thanks. I have wondered about this for years. I am guessing it is some sort of casting as Rodins "Thinker' was cast. |
