How to make a 3d hand sculpture?

I want to make a mold of my hand somehow so that i can maybe pour plaster of paris into it and have a 3d sculpture of my hand. i thought walmart would have a kit do to this, but they dont. i want to make the i love you sign with my hand. it is going to be an anniversary prestent. i need help on how to do this and what to use. thanks!
