Have you been to many Weddings that have ice sculptures?

I really can't even remember. That should answer your question. I'd rather have a chocolate fountain. More people will notice and remember that.

I have never been to a wedding that had an ice sculpture but it's not unheard of. I think it will be beautiful!

I've been to many weddings and even though movies always show ice sculptures I've never been to one that actually had one!! haha!! But with the castle theme it almost seems appropriate. That castle ice sculpture is very nice! If you want it then do it!

No, not weddings, but I was in Quebec City, Canada, in 1984 and I tell you that fully half the city (it seemed) was caricatured in ice. People, animals, buildings, auto's, lamp posts, it seemed everything was made of ice. They do that every year in this beautiful city of 600,000 and it is phenomenal. Now as for the wedding, yes the ice sculpture of a castle, or even something smaller, will be something that people will remember forever and will take pictures of and treasure. I mean really, how many people go to a wedding and can come away with the memory AND the pictures of such a unique exhibit? It is something that everyone lucky enough to be there will treasure and enjoy for as long as their memories and their pictures hold out. Now you said you were "having a castle". Does that mean you are creating an ice castle? And your theme is Cinderella. So it sounds as if you are creating a whole theme of a castle, Cinderella and probably the accompanying characters, and if so you certainly have your work cut out for you, but you will enjoy it and that's what it's all about, and others will share in the enjoyment with you. I have been to a few with ice sculptures. If it is outside in the middle of summer, they are a waste of money, by time the guests see it , it is not what it should be. If it is indoor reception, then they work out nicely. Do not spend the money if you are having an outdoor reception in the hot months.

Never been to one that had an ice sculpture. But I've been to many Sunday brunches at hotels and upscale restaurants that did. It's not my style but if you love it then go for it.

I live on Long Island. I cannot remember a wedding I have been to in the past few years (over 10) that did not have one. Usually they are displayed somewhere during the coctail hour. They are very nice. Normally a swan, or something like that - so a castle would be very nice & something different.
