She's stupid! I guess handing out welfare checks and Medicaide are more important than national security. She wants people to love her simply b/c they wouldn't have to work- just get a government handout. She's banking on the hope that we won't get attacked again. I believe that the current wiretapping procedures we have, which require a court permission except in emergencies, are more than sufficient for the government to ensure the national security. There is no need to provide extra immunity, bypass FISC, etc. Bush is just using "national security" as a buzz word to get what he wants.

The better question is, how come Bush wants to block security for the nation by invading a country that never attacked us, occupying it, and creating more terrorists? How about illegally wiretapping Americans? Do you want Hillary Clinton to have that power, to wiretap you without a warrant?

Bush thinks, what good are your civil rights when your blown to pieces by a suicide bomber.

The senate passed Bush's bill and the house has enough votes to pass it, but Pelosi has decided not to introduce the legislation on her own, just to show she is wearing the pants and her power trip is more important then national security.

And YES I want any president to have what ever tools are needed to stop terrorism.

The liberal point of view is, it's ok for terrorists to plan and execute attacks on the USA as long as no one finds out about my pot plants.
