| Its the same principle that Hitler used before he started WW2, he created a terrorist attack on his own people and then told the people that in order to keep them safe from the "terrorists" he had to create a new Government Agency, I believe the name he used for it was in fact "Homeland Security" spelled in German. The idea was that some rights of the people have to be taken away in order to better protect the people. Well I think we all know what Hitler did with the rights that he took away... Homeland Security has done the same with the Patriot Act, which basically says that the Bill of Rights and Constitution are null and void. As soon as some government official labels (for example) John Smith a "Terrorist", John immediately looses all of his rights, the government can do anything and everything with him. The scary thing about this is that the definition of "terrorist" is so vague that technically anyone could be a "Terrorist" and since the government or police aren't required to provide any evidence for any of their claims or accusations. The USA Patriot Act is essentially a free ticket for the Government to do absolutely anything they want and anyone who speaks out is a Terrorist, no more checks and balances, no more bill of rights, no more constitution. |
