How should you pose questions about security-critical, or safety-critical, systems ?

How should you pose questions about security-critical, or safety-critical, systems ?

Am I guilty of treason for alluding to the existence of security-critical systems ?

Some people are very touchy if you mention an actual system.

Anyway, many systems are "safety-critical" are they not ?

If I wish to transfer money, the receiver may be relying on receiving the money. So isn't the system "safety-critical" ?

If I am noticing a project being mentioned on placards of Sunday papers, I become interested. So I start thinking of questions and posing them on Yahoo Answers.

If I point out that an incorrectly tested program might "average" two bearing of 180 degrees, obtaining an answer of 0 degrees, am I guilty of treason for pointing this out ?
