An Enquiring Mind has a spectacular aura about
Will my criminal record affect my boyfriend's security clearance in the United

States military? My boyfriend currently has a secret clearance, and is concerned that my criminal record will affect his job, and may be used against him. Is this true?

No, you are just his girlfriend, not wife and unless he puts you down as a reference for everything in his life (and it depends what you did: felony violent crime, treason, child abuse), then the MI investigators will look pass you because you wouldn't matter. The military doesn't recognize girlfriends. Sorry and that's the facts unless you are in a power of attorney or will.

Not unless he's your pimp.. HA HA just kidding. But seriously, no, unless he aided and abetted in your criminal wrong doings and was caught, charged and found guilty.

No, unless you're a secret agent or something big like that. But, simple offenses for which you have served your time, there shouldn't be a problem.
