I am a single mother of 2, an 18 and 16 year old. I have been on the "dating scene" for about 3 years and I finally settled down with a great guy (or so I thought) about 6 months ago-- we'll call him james. I thought everything with james and I was going great, both my daughters seemed to get along very well with him. HOWEVER The other day, I came home early from work and ended up walking in on my eldest daughter and James!! I'm absolutly furious and hurt, and I don't know where else to turn. I have no idea what to do next.....I already broke up with james, but i just don't know how to handle the daughter situation.

Then prepare your daughter for a check up to see if she is pregnant or has an std. Then you should forget about dating until you are mature enough to remarry.

the only thing there is to do is to talk to her. and ask her why did she do it. unless you wanna punish her. at the age to 18 she should know better. if it was my b/f and daughter i would first dump him and show her that i was mad. that is just wrong. and disgusting!

Why are you still referring to James as your boyfriend? Thats a no brainer. Anyman that "loves and cares" for you so much that he has to sleep with your daughter is obviously the wrong man. He has shown you little or no respect by having sex with her if the first place not to mention in your home. How long has that been going on? Were they in your bed? He would have to go....Your daughter. If she is going to school, she should be grounded. If she has graduated, she needs to be getting a job or her own apartment. I am 30 years old. my parents were divorced when I was very young. My mother dated, but I knew that if they came to see my mom they were off limits. That is where respect comes in. It is clear that two of the individuals in your household had no respect for you.
