When you go out to clubs as a single, how often do you meet someone that you'll eventually date?

Oh also, would you ever go out alone to look for potential dates? Because if you go clubbing with friends, they'd want to have fun, not just so you could find a boyfriend or girlfriend.

I live in NYC. Go to bars & clubs alot... id say maybe 1% Is dating material.. sometimes there are nice people in bars & clubs, not just bar flys... I've never gone out alone to look for a potential 'date' but living in NY, I do go out alone ocassionally. Not sure what the rest of the world finds acceptable though. the places where i'd met guys i'd actuallly date - were in places where i'd least expect them!
