High Standards and Dating?

Is it wrong having high standards when it comes to men? I'm not talking about standards that are impossible and unrealistic. Should one ever lower their standards or will this just leave them unhappy in the end? Of course I'm only 16 but the guys I've met so far don't meet my standards at all.(and i mean I've met A LOT of guys) Am I hoping for too much too soon? Will it be better when I'm older?
