If going to movies then go to a good dinner. but check out drama or horror

The movies doesn't seem like the best place for a first date. How are you going to converse and get to know each other better? Try taking her out to a nice place for dinner and, if the weather is nice where you live, somewhere you can take part in a fun activity that you'll both enjoy.

Is a 1st date? The movies isn't the best place for a 1st date.

Going out to dinner is always a nice thing to do...then movies, comedy are always good.

Horror. The girl will probably get scared (unless she's the tough kind) and grab your hand, arm, etc.
If she's tough, try comedy. There's no problem in getting a girl to laugh.
If she likes drama, try that. Romance is good too, if the girl cries, then maybe she could use a hug. I'd recommend horror, though.
