Why did she bring her friend along for the almost first date?? What should I do?

What is my next move? I am a college student, and I met this girl in one of my class. I asked her out today, so we went out. But she brought her friend along, cause her friend was hungry too. That was soo unexpected.

However, she was fully dressed up as if she is going out for a serious date, and I was wearing American eagle polo and destroyed jeans. lol. I took her to a casual place(20 bucks per person), because this was just a first date. I asked her to attend movie with me, but she said may be next week. (But next week is spring break!)

After this, she invited me into her apt, and told me to not to forget. I said hi to her roommates. then we talked bunch and at the end, she told me that "we are buddies now." and we shook hands and left. (But, We hugged before!! The next one had to be a peck on her cheek!!) I asked her out for the next week, because it's right before the spring break. She told me that she has her exam, and she also said we are going to still study together on this upcoming Monday
It sounds like she is treating me as a friend,but she was dressed up for a serious date. May be English is her second language, and she is unknowingly using killer words like "buddy" and "freind." May be not... Why did she bring her friend along? What is she up to? What is my next move after this almost first date?
Is this not working? shall I back off and be her friend? But I don't want to! She is too pretty.
