he hates me for liking another guy.. and were not dating!?

my best friend ever bryan(ill call him scrappy) is totally in love with me and i love him back and not in the way a brother loves a sister kinda way either and he knows it . the problem is my friend dannys brother also named bryan likes me and i like him to. and the only reason im having second thoughs about bryan is cause me and scrappy live thousands of miles apart and bryan is well hes right here. but i told scrappy as my best friend that me and bryan both like each other and he totally flipped out on me! saying that i played him cause i told him i loved him and all of this bullshit and i couldnt explain myself properly because every reason i have him as to why i ws even considering bryan he completly found a way around!
ex.
we live too far apart to date: love knows know distance
hes closer to my age: love knows no age
and so on and so on. i just dont know what to do!
cause i do love scrappy but i wanna give bryan a chance and not lose my friend in the procces.. help??
