What if the attorney you hired failed to show up for a court date?

and his secretary told you there was no trial on that day,,,but there was. So, neither the attorney or client showed up.

Unfortunately the Lawyer will cause the client to get arrested. If the Lawyer doesn't show-the client should. Hopefully the Judge will have to good sense to see the Lawyer didn't inform his client hence the reason he himself didn't show up.

The judge can issue a bench warrant for an attorney just like he can for the client. Usually the judge and clerk will have contact numbers for the attorneys involved with cases on the docket and the matter can be cleared up.
