| What are the first five things you should do when starting a small business?
My husband has been running plumbing co for over 10 yrs. He just passed his master contractor license test. I am trying to help put all the wheels in motion and don't know where to begin.

1. Make a detailled business plan. 2. Get adaquate funding. 3. Find a location to rent or purchase. 4. Buy all the machines, tools, and inventory you need. 5. Big marketing effort... advertise, get a nice sign for your store made, etc. If you want to make your business a corporation rather than a sole proprietorship, you'll need to see a lawyer. Also begin looking for an accountant as well. |
