| Why do some Brits despise the American culture?
The underlying Christian beliefs of majority of US citizens has helped shape American culture and the American value system. specifically, Americans can be described as informal, direct, competitive, high achievers, independent and individualistic, questioners, punctual, and thrive on the face of adversity. Americans are a heterogeneous group who live at a fast pace, are practical and egalitarian, live as a family, reject fatalism, and like to achieve through their own efforts. American culture is one of the most individualistic cultures and, as such, strongly values uniqueness and self-determination.
So why do the British despise this culture even when their nation is being Americanized? I dare to say that our culture is probably the best in the world.
It could be envy.
If our culture isn't the best, then why are China, India, Brazil, Mexico still relatively poor? Surely culture affects your values, beliefs, and actions.
Our culture has made us successful!
