| Sociology question...children exposed to sexualy material on the internet....? Question for my sociology class...kinda undecided on where to go with it. What's your opinion on the topic? Question: Many people are concerned about the children and young teens being exposed to sexually explicit material through the internet. Two efforts to protect children, the Communications Decency Act of 1996 and the 1998 Child Online Protection Act, were found to violate the 1st Amendment. Do you think anything should be done to protect children from sexually expliciton online material? Why or why not? If yes, how would you suggest going about it? What practical difficulties might be involved with this approach? If no, do you forsee the issue becoming less of a concern as today's children become parents? Why or why not? Any opinions would be greatly appreciated!!! |
