I think it is a better choice to have different companies protecting your computer. Each company has a different way of writing their software. That way, if one fails, the others will not (necessarily) fall with it.

| i have 3 separate software for firewall, antivirus & antispyware. is that okay...
...or it should all be 1 software? i have avira antivirus, lavasoft firewall and PC tools spyware Doctor. But many people i see have 1 software for all 3 like mcafee security center or similar. is it good or bad to have separate softwares for each kind of protection? |

having multiple security software programs tend to make a lot of problems. you should get one program that has everything included. i use the anti-virus software from trend micro. it has firewall and anti-spyware included. |
