free, safe software that can help completely delete files on computer?

my computer is very slow, and i tried removing programs in control panel but it's still there. i need a good program that i can use to help me delete things i dont need COMPLETELY. please only advise it if you've used it and it worked well. IT HAS TO BE FREE! (im just a kid! cant go online buying things!)
i've already done the hardware defragmenting and disk cleaning. is there anything else i can do to make my computer run faster?

I Have To Agree With Ben On This One...CCleaner Is Very Good,It Gets Rid Of Unwanted Files,And It's Free!! Also,Try Webroot Window Washer...I Got Both Of These At Steve's Worldstart.com. Good Luck!
