Is it pointless to make a vacation video now? I need to wait 3 weeks for

better video editing software.? My mom and I just went on a trip to Hawaii. (February 15th-22nd). It's been two weeks. I want to make a video DVD for the trip. It is going to be really cool. It will consist of cool pictures and video from the trip. Also neat Hawaiian music. I currently use Pinnacle Studios Version 9. I feel like it's more of a "childish" software. It has "childish" effects and it's too weak for me. I really want this DVD to be the best I can make it. I'm going to get Sony Vegas 8: Platinum Edition. I heard it's really good and better than Pinnacle. Obviously, the problem is the price. It will be about a month until I can afford Sony Vegas. Do you think it would be pointless to make a vacation video after 2 months has passed by? I feel like it's pointless now, and it's only been two weeks. Also if you have any reccomendation on Sony Vegas please let me know. Thanks!

If you don't wanna spend big bucks, try using Windows Movie Maker (already installed on your PC computer). They have some good effects and stuff. You can add subtitles, transition effects, color variations, music, and all that jazz. If you have a macintosh, try using iMovie. I have no experience with iMovie, yet I hear it matches up to Windows Movie Maker.
