hello. im looking for a 3d game design software where you can make really detailed characters, buildings, water etc.. similar to zelda, but not a copy cat if you know what i mean. also after you finish making these characters and the land and stuff, how do you set it all together? like how do you get the characters to be able to move around and everything. plz help! tell me the best software, something without much limits. thanks |

Don't listen to that negative Nelly. You might want to investigate something called XNA. Its meant for use with the xbox360 and is supposed to allow people that have never built a game before to get their feet wet and hands dirty.

Game design is an industry for a reason: Normal people can't just hop in and do stuff when they want. For what you described, it would take hundreds of hours in 3d programs such as Maya and blender, days in photoshop to make textures, and years of coding knowledge to assemble it. Don't waste your time, you're only disappointing yourself. |
