Does anyone know about the software they use in magazines to remove...

...backgrounds from pictures? I need it!!? I always see in magazines how the detail of hair, for example, is always so perfect after you remove the background from that picture. Usually its a white background. I have tried photoshop techniques and other programs, but theyre not as accurate as what i see in this magazines, newspaper adds and stuff. I work in photography and I need a fast accurate way of doing this. HELP! answers will be very much appreciated
