I'm buying a used mac-mini. Seller says I need to register software package...

...or delete. How do I do this? I'm not sure what this means. Does it mean I'll be spending money to re-register the already installed software as if I had bought a new operating system? Seller is not responding to question, but the price is right on the unit if registration costs are not involved.
