Elizabeth F has a spectacular aura about
can I remove software from my?

For example, I never use garage band, comic life, i dvd, imovie, ichat or imail, but I'm afraid to just put them in the trash because then what if I END UP needing them? So I thought if I could remove them from my hard drive and put them on a cd? I don't even know what half the programs do! iphoto is my own personal nightmare. Thanks for the help.

It's best to leave the unwanted software on your hardrive in the event you eventually give or sell the computer to someone else. If these programs are popping up and preventing you from using the software you desire, then go ahead and burn them on a DVD. Then by all means remove them. I have removed lots of abnoxious software for this reason.

I had the same problem as I never used garageband.

Well if you are new to mac and you dont have lot of your stuff in the mac you can remove the bundled software by reinstalling the OS.

During the installation open always the "options" and in them you can select what to install or not.

It works I did the same.

On a CD/DVD you can back up your computer to be sure before you remove programs you don't need, You will be having problems if in those program there are shared DDL that will be deleted.
