Mini Mp3 player Can put songs on it! Software?

So I have one of these

It's white with a Capasity of 256.
It was a free gift/giveaway thing.
I can't get songs on it and be able to listen to them, they are on there, but not lisenable.
There were songs that it came with, and I took then off, but when I put them back on, they don't work!!

What software do I need?
Where can I get it?

Please, I want it to be FREE!
Syncing it won't work either!!! =( I've tried EVERYTHING but having software!
