How can I remove "Spybot search and destroy" software completely from my computer?

I have PC-cillin internet security software, but I can not update it because it is detecting Spybot SD software on my computer. When I go to the "remove programs" in windows, Spybot SD shows up, but when I try to remove it, it says it doesn't exist. HELP? What the heck is going on?

Dont uninstall Spybot search and destroy.
It is a great piece of software.
Try a reinstall of PC-cillin internet security or replace it with Kaspersky IS (http://www.kaspersky.com)

I had the same problem. I downloaded the Revo Uninstaller freeware utility to remove Spybot from my system.

use the uninstall feature in spybot ---than go to ur c/drive look in ur program files --- see if there is any trace ----empty ur vault in spybot --before u uninstall ---than clean ur registry with ccleaner -- use the registry feature and save the the back up file --in case there is a problem-- ur can always delete it later --- will be in my documents
