How do you import pictures from my Kodak EasyShare camera to my Kodak Software?

How do you import pictures from my Kodak EasyShare camera to my Kodak Software?

I can't ever seem to find my camera in the software and I'm out of ideas.
Also, if I plug in the USB and turn on the camera (that's what it says in the little booklet) nothing happens.
