Does anyone out there know about Sony psp down-loadable software ?

I am looking for information as to which companies offer a legal download service for firmware, games etc.
Is psp Blender any good? What sized memory card is advisable and where can I get ORIGINAL cards for best price?
Any help or further info regarding the PSP would be greatly appreciated.
