can u tell me more about software engineering?

[conundrum]

i am a HS senior and is considering this major in college.

i live in the Silicon Valley. it is in high demand !

my problem is, i am a female, i know it is a male-dominated field. and i am not good at math, i'd say i am more of an abstract, right-brain kind of type. i am currently taking AP statistics because i took Pre-calculus twice (passed it the 2nd time) and does not want to risk my chance of graduating by taking calculus.

so yea, what about software engineering? is it super hard? lots and lots of math perhaps? u think i can do it? i got in at Cal Poly SLO and SJSU, two universities that offer it as a major.. ohhh help me ............
