| Am I Pregnate?
Oh wait, I just bought a pregnancy test and found out its spelled Pregnancy. Killed two birds with one stone!Actual question. Why does everybody think there are so many people asking q's on if they might be pregnant or not, and not taking a home pregnancy test to find out which they would have to do at some point anyway? And why are so many people having unprotected sex at such a young age, getting pregnant without fully understanding that THAT is what sex is meant for, then asking people not to judge when they're on yahoo answers trying to find out whether having sex without using birth control can get you pregnant?Honestly, do you think its down to parenting, media, lack of education in schools, or did this used to happen all the time too except without the internet there wasn't really a way it could be discussed on any great level?

Oh I'm glad you realized you spelt pregnant wrong because its sooo annoying when people spell it in all these weird ways. But yes, its many things. Its a lack of education and a lack of parenting these days. Also younger teens don't think about the consequences of their actions the way a mature adult does. They think about it after its too late sometimes. I get sooo sick of coming on here and seeing all these girls being scared that they're pregnant. I see at least 10 a day when I come on here, every single time. Use protection people and if you play with fire and get pregnant, own up to your actions and have that baby. I'm sick of abortions too. It amazes me that I can sit and think of how many people I know off the top of my head who have had 1 (or more) abortions and run out of fingers to count on. Sick and wrong. It needs to stop. I hate it.

I think people just want to know with their own unique situation, and it's like, 'Yea, go buy a test', but some people just want to know if it's even possible and compare their 'symptoms' with other REAL women before they go out and buy one..As for the younger people... well.. sex ed classes desperately need to improve.. and some of them, I think, are doing it just for attention.. some of the questions are really off-the-wall stupid..

Honestly I think pregnancy is now considered "cool". As sad as that sounds it's true. Think of all the young celebrities getting pregnant and broadcasting it all over the place, the trendy baby showers, awesome gifts, staged pictures of the "perfection" of parenthood. Think of it though, Nicole Ritchie, Jamie Lynn Spears, the movie Juno, then there's all the pregnancies from unwed couples, it's all over the place. People see these things, think that pregnancy is so cool and they have sex until they get pregnant. Also, I think half of the "am i pregnant?" questions aren't even true, it's some deranged way of getting attention. HOnestly, would any person in their right mind go on Yahoo ANSWERS to see if they're pregnant??? Especially a panicked teenager? No way no one is that stupid to not take a test but instead to go online and ask strangers if they are pregnant.Thank you for posting this question - it needed to be said!!!

Thank you, I thought I was the only person asking myself these questions. Other than pure LAZINESS I feel there is no reason in this day and age that these girls should be getting pregnant. It's not just the teens it's also the girls in their early 20's. Access to birth control, over the counter methods are easily obtainable. Sex education is taught more than ever in school. There is not reason not to prevent a pregnancy. Sex is for pleasure but the end results is procreation. If these people are going to enjoy sex then they need to be responsible until they are ready to bring a life in to this world. I work in a maternity unit and you would not believe the answers these girls give me when I discuss birth control, "I don't want to put hormones in my body", he does not want me on birth control because I will fool around on him and only sluts use the pill". Are these girls stupid? Not only can you get pregnant you can catch something and die. Yes, we all have love for a baby but it costs major money to raise a child and I am tired of my taxes going to pay for someone else's mistake. Girls need to take care of themselves and not depend on a guy and his sweet talk to do it. I am also tired of girls asking if "do you think" questions. Duh, you had unprotected sex, you haven't had a period, take a test, simple as that see a doctor. We don't have crystal balls. Girls having a guys baby will not guaruntee he will be around for you. Thanks for a much needed rant.
